BTEC Extended Certificate in Dance

The BTEC is an equivalent to two GCSE's at A*-C

Students study three units: Jazz Dance, Exploring Urban Street Dance and Performing Dance.

All work is practically-based and students are assessed by tutor observation and the compiling of a learner portfolio.

Careers in Dance and FE Study

As well as dance linked careers courses dance is seen as a 'highly regarded' qualification because it provides students with such skills as confidence, independent learning, group work, leadership, creative thinking, fitness, health, stamina and determination.
