Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE)

PSHE is timetabled for one hour a week, Wednesday period 1. The sessions are generally taught by your child's form tutor but often guest speakers are invited into school to deliver specifc topics. A wide range of subjects are covered including:

Drug Awareness

Sex Education

Smoking

Alcohol

Bullying

The Law and the Criminal System

Life Skills (including Budget Management)

Careers Advice

Road and Rail Safety

We have close links with a number of agencies and charties within the county who advise us on our programme of study. The PSHE timetable is tailored to the level for the year group it is being targeted at and this is overseen by the relevant Head of Year. If you have any queries or concerns about your child's PSHE programme please contact their tutor or Head of Year.
